My Six Sentences


1. A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, there was a classroom that was haunted, no one ever came near it since a boy named Jake got taken.

2. Now the classroom is full of bugs, spiders and insects, and other disgusting things you don’t want to know.

3.  The ghost had a special talent that could make kids disappear, make fire or ice but this ghost wasn't like any other kind of ghost, it was something else no one had a name for.

4. One day a girl named Samira was walking past and all of a sudden the door opened and she slowly went inside, something grabbed her leg as she screamed and shouted for help but no one replied and she disappeared like Jake did.

5. No one ever saw her again and no one knows if she’s still alive but everyone does know that they really miss her.

6. Months later they moved the classroom to another school and no one ever disappeared again.

L.I. - Know how to reference a book correctly

When we are doing research we need to find corroborating sources of information.  A good way to do this is to find a book and a website that give you the same information.  This means that the information in most likely to be accurate.
At the end of the presentation it is important to cite the books and websites you have used.  This activity shows you how to present the book. information.

Using a glossary

Sometimes a book also has a glossary at the beginning or the end.  This gives short explanations of specialised or difficult terms used in the book.  The following is an example is from a book about the moon.

What term is used to describe the characteristic light reflecting from a planet? Albedo

This is my Library skill activity that we had to do and we had to figure out where the things go.
